They put the poor kid on a respirator and I have to be at work...--UPDATE
I'm so upset. DS all of a sudden got horribly congested yesterday with a really bad croupy cough and he was wheezing with every breath. I had to go to work, so DH took off and took him to the doc's this morning. He said they gave him a portable respirator to take home and put him on every couple of hours. I'm so upset I have to be at work while my poor baby is in distress  Working to pay to live on LI sucks!!!!
UPDATE: OK, so I go home and I'm probing my DH for info and he deosn't know anything--he can't even remember what's it's called that the doc said DS has. So i'm looking things up and I say, "Bronchiolitis?" Yeah, that's it, he says. So my son has RSV! So they gave him a nebulizer with a medication that helps open up the airways. It just really bothers me that DH didn't seem to ask any important questions...how long till we start seeing improvement? how long will it last total? how long is he contagious for (ie do I have to request taking off next week because he can't go back to daycare)? did you call daycare and tell them? and a zillion other things going through my mind. And the poor little guy sounded just horrible last night. He's going back to the doctor today

Can you work 1/2 a day and make it up next week or something? I think your bosses would understand, but I know some (alot) don't understand .
