Making Your Home More Energy Efficient?
Awhile ago, I heard that homeowners would be eligilbe for rebates if they do home improvements that help the energy efficiency in their homes. We just got a new garage door installed--the old one was wood and had no insulation. The new one does, and I already notice the rooms above it stay much cooler in the summer.
Does anyone know who I would need to contact for rebate eligibility? Is this LIPA or another organization? TIA!

Certain garage doors qualify for a tax credit. Sounds like your's may be one. Whoever you bought from should have told you about it. But, www.energystar.gov is the place to go. Good luck!

I know when we were looking at doors, that there were only certains doors that you could get to quality. So check it out and if you have to go back to the place where you bought it and get paperwork so you have it to claim for your taxes I believe. GL!
