Making your own baby food
I know this has been asked before, but I am attempting to make some of my own food this weekend. Ryan is only on fruits and vegetables right now. I have no idea how or where to start. Does anyone have any suggestions or websites to get me started? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
TIA

Re: Making your own baby food
Go and get yourself an Annabel Karmel book, or go to her website. Its really easy, just steam your veggies and blend it to the desired consistency, if you need to add more liquid, just use the cooking liquid. For fruits, you can do the same or if you want to do apples or pears just stick them in the microwave for a few minutes, when they come out blend them to the desired consistency and again, use cooking liquid if needed. You can freeze them in ice cube trays, they are the perfect serving size...
I make all my own babyfood so if you have any more questions let me know

Re: Making your own baby food
Thanks! I have some questions already. What do you use to blend the food? What do you mean by cooking liquid?

I use a braun hand blender, but I also have a magic bullet blender which is good. The cooking liquid is the water underneath your steamer!

Re: Making your own baby food
Thanks. I don't really eat vegetables (which I know I should), so I'm not familiar with cooking them.
