Re: male IF factor + adding clomid + IUI......
That is what I am dealing with. I had one unmedicated cyle that failed and one clomid cycle that failed also. But, I am in my 2WW for this cycle. They say if the MF is not too bad, that it should work. They told me it usually takes 3-4 tries!
Hope that helps!

This is interesting to me too--I'm thinking the doctor might suggest adding clomid if this cylce doesn't work. I kinda would prefer to stay off meds, but how do you make that decision? I mean I guess I'd rather do that before moving to IVF?
I'd love to hear success stories and if they produced multiples.

Re: male IF factor + adding clomid + IUI......
well, we have slight MF on top of the fact I have PCOS. We did 4 rounds of clomid with timed intercourse with no luck. On my 5th round of clomid we upped the dose to 150mg and added IUI and that was our lucky combination. It ended in miscarriage, but we just did the same protocol, so we're hoping it will work again!

MF and F factor
DH has poor morphology and I have a balanced translocation. We've gotten pregnant on a Clomid/IUI cycle.
Lots of luck

Well for me the decision was easy because of 2 things: my age (mid 30's) and the fact that our issue is 100% male factor IF. I really want to be as aggressive as possible since I'm not getting any younger KWIM? Doc said next period which is due in May we'll start the clomid. Good luck everyone and for us all.

The idea behind combining clomid with IUI for MF is to give the sperm more egg targets. This is a more aggressive treatment than IUI alone.

Re: male IF factor + adding clomid + IUI......
My DH has MF and I have PCOS (lovely!) HE is currently on Clomid trying to get the count up so we can try IUI before moving to IVF. My Dr. says we need to be at at least 10 million and last count about 1.5 mnths ago he was at 2 Mil.
