thankfully, my dh is not like this at all. especially since he lost his mom suddenly - because SHE refused to go to the dr for regular check ups.
My DH schedules his annual physical every year on the week of his birthday... one year in advanced!
He won't hestitate to go to the doctor, rarely drinks, exercises regularly and eats very healthy. He's better than me in this dept.

I mean...they could be breathing their last breath and ....NOPE not going to the MD to see what's up?
My DH use to be like that. He only went once the once in the 2 years before we got engaged and that was only because he HAD to get a Dr note to go back to work.
Now he goes because I work in the medical group & make the appointments for him & tell him when to be there.....

He has to convince me to go everytime I'm sick.....

In my DH's case, I think it's pure laziness. He broke his glasses 2 years ago and still can't seem to find the time to get to the Eye Doctor. He says he doesn't want to go on his days off because those days are to do fun things

so true!
but I think the men in my family learned a harsh lesson recently! 
my cousin's DH had a lump in his throat for months. it just kept getting bigger and bigger. so he stopped shaving to hide it. long story short, it turned out to be cancer and he's in VERY bad shape

We are going onto month NUMBER 2 with a problem that he needs to see a specialist about and has he done anything - NOPE But then whines and moans. I finally told him put up or shut up! I don't want to hear about it anymore if you won't go to the doctor!
