March 2008 Mommies Roll Call

Just wanted to check in with you ladies and see how all the beautiful March 08 babies are doing!!!! Can you believe that most of us are now moms to 2 or 3 month old babies??? It goes by so stinking fast!!! It's great being able to chat with all of you on "this" side of the boards. You have all helped me with so many (sometimes dumb) questions while I was pregnant and especially now that my little is here! How are all your little ones doing?

I can start. Athan is 9 weeks old. At his 2 month check up he weighed 12 lbs 5 ounces and is 23 and 1/2 inches long. He is now in the smiling and cooing all the time phase and he has just noticed his mobile and he spends hours talking to the little bears bouncing over his head and the little fishy and seaweed bobbing in the F-P Aquarium. He is sleeping well (7-8 hours a night - woo hoo) and is the love of my life. I went back to work full time 2 weeks ago and that was very, very difficult. I am breastfeeding and supplementing with formula and thank goodness he has no problems going back and forth between bottle and breast. He is the love of my life and I cannot even remember life without him

Ryan is 2 months old today! He does not sleep AT ALL I am EBF and he is only giving me 2-2.5 hr stretches at night still BUT, he's cute!

Although he doesn't sleep, he sure does eat! Last week at his 8wk check-up he was 12lbs7oz so by now he is up over 5lbs since birth.

He smiles a lot (more in the morning and I think it's his way of asking for forgiveness for the lack of sleep the night before ). He is cooing and grunting and doing all types of communicating.

I still have about 6wks of leave left. I will be PT in July & August. I'm hoping Ryan will be more cooperative by then so I can feel a little better about leaving him.

Rylan will be 8 weeks this friday and boy time is flying. He is so big now...weighs a ton...i'm guessing at least 11-12 pounds by now.

I'm still having issues with his crankiness...he cries alot. He needs to be held what seems like 24 hours a day and unfortunately he has a "favorite" position...and you need to be standing with him...the second you start to lower your body to sit...he freaks

He also has a nasty case of cradle cap...head...forehead and ears...yuck!!!

When he's not crying he's defiinitely smiling all of the time...we call him smilin Rylan...lol

Even with all of his crankiness he still is the best thing to ever happen to me...my new little best friend!!!!!!!!

Kailey is amazing! Her smile makes my day, especially when I feel like I can do nothing to sooth her.

I wieghed her last week and she was up to 10lbs (born 6lb 1oz)!!! Lord knows she feels it!!

She will be 8 weeks tomorrow!

Sleeping at night is going well. During the day is hit or miss.

Life is still adjusting. I definitely miss family being down here, but the better lifestyle is worth it!

All the March babies are so cute!

Jake is doing well. He was 8 weeks yesterday. For the moment, he is really a great baby. I know this could change at any moment, so I am counting my blessings for the moment! He is getting big and smiling all the time. I tell him that I would like my "payment" now and try to make him laugh and smile. It really is the best payment for all the hard work! I get the best smiles on the changing table in the bath... go figure! He loves his swing and symphony in motion mobile and is just so darn cute!

Sleeping is going okay. Jake's naps are inconsistent, but sleeps well in the evening and night. He sleeps from abut 7pm -- 2 am and then after a bottle until about 7am. I'd love to shift those long stretches so they start later, but I am definitely NOT complaining!

My DH has been back to work for three weeks and I am off for a while (until January). My DH has been such an amazing help. I am so glad, because I really didn't have anyone to help out. Even though the baby has been great from day 1, recovering from my c-section was a little rough. My mom passed away when I was ten and my dad when I was 23. I miss them very much and every great moment is a little bittersweet. But so far, things have been wonderful.

Ryan is two months old(where is the time going? ) He is now 11lbs and 11oz and 23.5 inches long. Next week I am going to transition him slowly into his crib because he is getting too big for the bassinet.

He is very attentive to anything and everything. Loves to sit in his bouncy and watch the animals hanging on them. Loves to be held and stroked. He is smiling and cooing now. That is the best sound in the world. Loves when I read books to him, he smiles and coos when he sees the pictures. Loves his bottle and could eat all day.
Hates to go into his car seat, but once he is in and moving, he stops crying.
Would rather stay up with mommy and daddy then sleep.

My nicknames for him are Cryin' Ryan and Smilin' Ryan.

I never thought I could love someone as much as I love him. Still can't believe he is mine. I just love him so much!!

Megan is 8 weeks today! I look at her and can't believe she came out of me! She is absolutely perfect! She was weighed a little under 2 weeks ago and was 9 lbs 5 oz, so she should be over 10lbs now. We are BF plus a bottle of formula at night. I love her smiles! She loves the bouncy seat and swing and anything with a vibration mode. She loves to be held and when we walk around the room, she loves looking around.

I've recovered from c-sec and have been trying to workout a few times a week - still have 30 lbs to lose...

Rebecca is 10 weeks old tomorrow and at her last doctor's appt (7weeks) she weight 11lbs 3 oz so I am sure she is over 12 lbs now. She sure loves her breast milk. She is smiling and cooing like crazy. She loves her mobile most of all her toys. She sleeps great at night as she is sleeping ~8 hrs straight! I go back to work in 2 weeks and I am going to miss her soooo much! I knew I would love her before she was born but I had no idea how overwhelming my love would be. She means the world to me and I just can't get over how cute she is!!!!

Rocco was 2month on the 10th and was 10lbs 7oz at his check up. He is just the sweetest little boy and I can't imagine my life with out him.

Sleeping is going really well... he goes to bed about 9pm and sleep til 5-6 oclock, then will go back to sleeptil about 8.

He eats about 5 oz every 3-4 hrslike clockwork and smiles alot after every feeding. He loves it when you make silly faces and noises. Dh does this thing that he calls the " Daddy Dance". It's where he dances in front of him like a monkey to make him giggle. It's quite entertaining for everyone in the house

Hi March Mommies!!

My little man is doing great. Dylan was 2 months old yesterday. He'll be 9 weeks tomorrow. I can't believe how much he has changed. He's so much fun now. He smiles and coos at us all the time and he's starting to enjoy his toys.

Sleeping is just ok. He naps well during the day and he sleeps consistenly at night, but only for 3-3/12 hours at a time. I must say I am very jealous of you girls getting more than 7 hours straight. Did they do that all of a sudden or gradually increase their amount of sleep?

We are breastfeeding with one formula bottle at night from DH. Its amazing how much better that is going. We struggled a lot at the beginning but now its second nature. We just transitioned him to the crib this week. He had one bad night and since then has been sleeping great in the crib, although not any longer stretches than we got in the bassinet.

I can't believe its been two months. We were at a party this weekend with a one year old and we were amazed looking at where our little boy will be in just a few more months. I can't wait to see what he's going to be like then.

I'm responding since I was supposed to be a March mom but she arrived on April 1st!

Chloe is almost 11 pounds and would eat all day long if I let her. For the last week she has been sleeping 8 hours a night and I'm praying that it's not just a fluke and that she keeps it up.

Hi Everyone!
Mikey is doing really great he turned 10 weeks yesterday. I am completely shocked at how time is flying by! I think Mikey may have all the March babies beat in weight he's 13 lbs 10 oz!!!!! and at his 2 month dr appt. last week was measuring at 23 1/2 inches. This from a child who was born at 6 lbs 15 oz. 20 inches! He's in love with his bottle! I"m pretty sure a majority of that weight is in his cheeks!
I'm having so much fun with him, he loves to laugh and coo...I'm convinced that he's going to be a musician like his mommy b/c I can only get him to sleep when I'm playing music. He's still not a big sleeper (he does about 5 hour stretches at night), but I'm not back to work yet so it's not so bad. Hopefully he'll be sleeping all night by July when I return to work.
