marriott in palm beach aruba
we are looking into the marriott in palm beach, aruba. we've stayed at the radisson a half mile away near the hyatt and they were across the street from a shopping center with water fountain, salt n pepper and smokings joe's ( i think). has anyone stayed at the marriott? is it within walking distance to this shopping and eating area?

Yes, it's next to the Holiday Inn, so it's absolutely within walking range of all those little stores. They also just opened up about 2 years ago, another little mall sort of, with a movie theater, right across from the Holiday Inn and Hyatt!!!

Re: marriott in palm beach aruba
did you stay there? does it get really crowded? it is on the beach right? last time we were there we stayed at the radisson but by the time we book there may not be rooms available on expedia. plus they are doing some updating of the hotel.

Re: marriott in palm beach aruba
We have a time share at the Marriot Ocean Club. It's between the hotel and the Surf Club
Honestly... best location and the Ocean club has the most beach. Love it! WE go every year. You can't go wrong. Best part about staying at the Marriot is you have lots of choices to eat and just put it on your room. Everything is within walking distance too. WE walked to the Raddison many times. Especially b/c we love the Sunset Grille restaurant they have.

Re: marriott in palm beach aruba
When we go to Aruba, we stay at the Ocean Club. It is time shares (studio with a kitchenette or 1 or 2 bedrooms with a kitchen). There is also the Marriott hotel there which is a typical hotel. All 3 (Surf, Ocean and the hotel) share amenities and a beach. They are all amazing! You just have to decide what you are looking for and why you need. We walked between the "new" mall and the Surf Club. It is an easy walk, we had a stroller for my 2yo and even my 4 year old walked with us!

Re: marriott in palm beach aruba
My parents have time share at Marriott Surf club - the newest of the 2 timeshares!
I DEF DEF DEF recommend it!
So big, so therefore it never feels crowded! The lazy river and the huge pool (with slide) is awesome!
we dont een rent a car...we could probably walk to 30 restaurants from the hotel!
We go every year! Def worth checking it out! You can't go wrong witha Marriott IMO
