I still can't wrap my head around the masks should be optional argument. Foe the time being, yes they should be optional. But this Delta variant is starting to take off, its ripping through Florida. Vaccinated people are getting it but almost all are not getting seriously ill. So yes, my SIL who is a nurse said if her hospital is overwhelmed again she will absolutely blame the unvaccinated. It's one thing if you CANT. Many just don't want to because they think Bill gates us trying to poison you.
Do you have a breakdown of the positive cases, hospitalizations and deaths in FL by age, severity of illness, underlying causes?

Do your own research (on legitimate sites). The stats are correct. And maybe consider that the media is INFORMING people with FACTS that are scary and true. I am too lazy to go back to the appropriate post and quote it but I don't think anyone is busy marveling at WW's googling "skills."
I'm sure if any of us were of the mind to do so, we could accomplish the same.
It's the mere fact that she does it at all along with how she uses the information.
It's creepy, socially unacceptable, and abnormal to do that type of googling about people on a chatboard and then throw the facts at them in a way that is clearly meant to make people uncomfortable. Like BFNY516 said in the other post, it implies a familiarity that doesn't exist.
If I thought I knew who Poster X was and for some reason was dying for confirmation, I would FM them and say, "hey I think I might know you. Are you X by any chance? I'm Y, and I think I know you from Z."
That is the socially appropriate thing to do, at a minimum, before outing that type of info on a public forum.
If someone doesn't understand that we'll have to agree to disagree.
I am (very mildly) curious why she kept getting banned because I did think it was because of all the doxxing but this is a pretty blatant example and she's still here.

Well unless I am missing it, and yes numbers are out for yesterday, I don’t see where they say ages, underlying causes and how many tested were asymptomatic.

You sound like the media who throw these things out to the public to scare them.
Do your own research (on legitimate sites). The stats are correct. And maybe consider that the media is INFORMING people with FACTS that are scary and true. Where do you get your information from that makes it so correct, yet the "media" that you speak of is always wrong? Get a vaccine or stop complaining. If you're not a part of the solution, you are a part of the problem.

COVID-19 rates increased to 1.12% in Nassau and 1.05 % in Suffolk. For two days in a row. Hoping we don’t start trending upwards.

I actually put up an article here saying that so I am aware of that.
The other questions are usually not out there, just the number of positive tests, hospitalizations and deaths.
We are doing well in NY with the last 2 and that is what matters the most to not go backwards.

Back to the original question at hand, there is a large contingent of my town that is going a little crazy at the thought of kids having to wear masks again in Sept. I don't see how there is any way to get around them wearing masks, at least in the elementary schools. I think anyone unvaccinated (which would mean EVERYONE under 12) will be required to wear a mask at school. Personally my kids were not that bothered by the masks and I don't think that they will care all that much. I never really understood why people care so much about masks. There are only a handful of times when it bothered me, mainly last summer when they were required outdoors and it was 95+ degrees (at Hershey and Colonial Williamsburg).

I think most parents were concerned over the heat and maybe any breathing issues their kids might have.

Something we can agree on. 
My kids weren't bothered by the masks either, they just rolled with it. Would they rather not wear them? Of course. But if they have to wear them in the fall they will survive just like they did this past school year.
I understand some kids struggled with the masks and I have empathy for them because I did as well. Claustrophobia and masks aren't an ideal combination but I managed. That being said, I really believe that the masks bother the parents way more than it bothers the kids. Kids are resilient and flexible, moreso then we sometimes give them credit for.
