Master Bedroom- Paint Color Help
My furniture is a darker wood and my comforter is an off white/tanish color. We are getting the carpet redone so I am open to carpet and paint colors.
Please tell me if you have any suggestions or post yours!
There are 2 windows in the bedroom but I don't know if I could pull off a dark color.

With the darker wood and creamy comforter, I am feeling a soft blue. Not dark blue, but not too light, either. I had a blue BR in my old house and I miss it. (No pics, sorry, it was before the digital camera days.)
I happen to be partial to cooler, calming colors in bedrooms and warmer, more stimulating colors in living areas. But that is just my two cents.
Have fun decorating! You are in the best position to do so - you're working with neutrals, so it's like a clean slate.

I have a dark wood bedroom set also. it may sound crazy but we did darker blue walls (Behr, blue chaise, its almost like a country blue) its a very rich color. and the carpet is a light brownish honey color. trimed with an off white. i was so afriad that it would be too dark but it really looks good. and we only have 2 small windows in the corner of the room.

I was thinking this kind of color, too. Sage green would be beautiful with your furniture and bedding colors.

We used BM Brittany Blue, it's a light slate blue.
BM Nantucket Fog is also a very nice color and I wish I had gone with that one instead.

A light sage green would also be very nice and calming. We have BM Nantucket Breeze in our 2nd Bedroom.
Another great color is a blue/green that we used in our Family Room. It's Valspar "Beach House".

That sounds pretty. How do I look this up?
I just went to the BM store and got a pint sample for $6 then painted it on a piece of sheetrock to hold up against the wall. It's a really nice color!

i like sagey greens or blue grays for bedrooms...i think those colors look really pretty with dark furniture and then light bedding

i also have 2 windows and dark furniture and a light quilt in my master bedroom.....
i have 1 wall behind the bed BM colonial blue (its a rich but not dark blue)and all the other walls are BM gray mirage, a hard to describe color, hint of gray, hint of sage green
i am looking for pictures but i dont think i have any handy

we have dark bedroom furniture in our MB and the the walls are light blue. "quiet rain" by Glidden. It's such a beautiful color and goes really well with dark furniture (would even look great with white furniture)

i agree with the sage green suggestion- our bedroom furniture is dark wood and we used a sage green- love how "earthy" and calming it looks. ours is called shortgrass prairie by behr... not the best pic because its from my cell but you get the idea

Kim, the office in my house is Saybrook Sage by BM.
You've seen my furniture it's dark, the sage green would go, I also think the iced slate that is in our guest room goes really well with the dark furniture also

It really is a nice color. They should have one of the small sample sizes of this color I believe. Thanks for the compliment.
