maternity clolthing sizing
OK, so I'm really not showing showing yet...but I need to get some new clothes, like jeans and what not...how do I know what size I am. I don't want to go and spend an insane amt of money on clothing and not have it fit me later on.....how do I ensure it will fit later on??? Any tips?

Re: maternity clolthing sizing
I tried to be smart and buy clothes one size bigger and now I can't wear them so I would say buy your normal size in maternity

Re: maternity clolthing sizing
my pants are just my usual size...my shirts I bought all one size bigger so that I could have plenty of room to grow into them for the summer.

Buy your regular size.
I've been able to wear the same size my entire pregnancy.

Re: maternity clolthing sizing
I'm 24 weeks tomorrow and I'm still wearing my pre-preggo clothes. Anything new that I've purchased, I've bought in mediums and larges.
If you want to buy jeans, try them on and see what fits best. I bought some nice true religion, joes and 7s (all maternity) in my regular size but they have that new secret belly fit that'll accommodate the growing belly.

Most of the pants that I bought have the tummy panel that expands with you. As for shirts, I've had to buy a bigger-than-my-usual size to accommodate my ever growing boobs.
I highly recommend the secret fit belly pants and jeans from Motherhood/Mimi.

Ahh that makes sense, im just scared that my hips have gotten wider since getting PG (they were wide enough to begin with) but it just seems like they have, unless I'm just imagining things....we'll see Ill try things on

Re: maternity clolthing sizing
You should buy your pregnancy clothes using your pre-pregnacy size...as you grow..you will notice that you will have to buy clothes in a size bigger than your pre-pregnancy size..but the all depends on how big your belly grows..(this was the case for me...already in a size larger in my 6 month)

Re: maternity clolthing sizing
I've been buying my pre-pregnancy size in both tops and bottoms, and very quickly started accumulating full-panel pants (rather than the regular elastic waist ones). the few regular waist ones that I bought I'm having trouble fitting into at this point, but the secret belly fit/full panel pants are still totally fine...
Oh, if you go to anne taylor online and buy stuff, you should probably get the pants one size smaller than your regular size... they run large (but have fabulous clothes!)
