Maternity clothes--petite & slim girls
Okay, so where did you get most of your maternity clothes? I'm short & my reg size is 5-6. I'm pretty early on (11 wks) so I gues I can just get regular tops but I need help finding cute jeans that don't make me feel old, short & fat. Target & Old Navy sizes are way too big for me at this point. Basically, my question is where can I find cute stretch maternity jeans that fit tight like I like them?

Why not just use a Bella Band? Maternity shops also carry jeans.....

Re: Maternity clothes--petite & slim girls
I'm using that now but I'm starting to get more & more uncomfortable. Plus, only a few of my jeans fit me anymore, even unbuttoned

Re: Maternity clothes--petite & slim girls
My favorite pair of jeans is from Old Navy and they're a "short" length. I also have some great short length pants from the GAP and Mimi Maternity. I order all my GAP from online - even in different sizes, and then just return the stuff that doesn't fit at the store.
HTH!

Re: Maternity clothes--petite & slim girls
I am slim, but not so much petite.Honestly, I haven't been able to find any so far that fit me well. I am almost 22 weeks, and smalls are still too big for me, but xsmalls are too short.

Re: Maternity clothes--petite & slim girls
old navy and the gap.
target clothes literally don't fit me [i'm a 0 normally].
i buy jeans from old navy because they are way cheaper than the gap and more often, in the roll over panel style that isn't constricting/painful to my belly.
i have had to wear maternity clothes since week 6...i actually bought more today as the "no panel" styles are finally getting too tight at 26 weeks. i refuse to wear the demi-panel as those hurt. as for fit, at first, they are a teeny bit bulky/uncool but once you pop they fit wonderfully.
today i was in old navy to get new jeans/pants. i actually helped a woman who is 12 weeks along realize she didn't look like she was wearing a tent for a dress.
honestly, the best advice: close your eyes and think about how you feel. comfort is quite important during pregnancy...if your clothes are tight, you won't feel your best. good luck!

Re: Maternity clothes--petite & slim girls
I am tall and slim, but I found that destination maternity had a whole range of lengths and styles and I was able to find jeans easier there than I could pre-pregnancy...the saleswoman was a bit pushy, but I appreciate it now because she did show me some awesome jeans that people are shocked are actually maternity!

Re: Maternity clothes--petite & slim girls
I haven't tried them yet but I saw that Pea in the Pod has great seven maternity jeans and even saw a pair of paige denims. Since I didn't try them I can't say how they fit but my friends swear by them and I plan to get a pair in the next few weeks...

Re: Maternity clothes--petite & slim girls
I hit the sales racks at Destination Maternity - I'm 5'5, so I'm not that short, but normally about a size 4-6 pre-preggo, and found some great jeans on the mimi rack there for really cheap. I live in them, and a few pairs from Old Navy....

Re: Maternity clothes--petite & slim girls
I am 5"2' and normally a size 0-2. I find Old Navy maternity pants to be a really good fit for me. I bought a few pants in XS my last pregnancy and they fit great and I didn't even have to have them shortened, even thought they were not petite. However, I went to Old Navy in January and they had nothing but sweat pants and baggy jeans so hopefully they got some more stuff in.
Also, I just discovered that Motherhood Maternity carries petites. I bought a pair of dress pants there a few weeks ago and they are perfect! So comfortable, fit great and only $24. I am pretty sure I saw some jeans in petite section as well.

You won't get huge if you workout a little. I plan on using the treadmill & some light weights a few times a week. I haven't actually done this yet, but I plan too

I gained weight after my wedding too - we were partying like crazy, which contributed to me getting knocked up!!!
but it took me a long time to gain weight in this pregnancy, so I feel it all balanced out....

Re: Maternity clothes--petite & slim girls
My mother (thanks, mom!) bought me some petite-length maternity pants from Motherhood Maternity. They fit really well -- not too long. (I'm 5'0 tall.)

Their "real Fit" jeans are cut slim & you can *usually* wear them well into your 2nd tri.

Been trying on a lot of jeans lately so now I can answer this question better! I'm not that short but was a size 4-6 pre-preg. So far - here are my finds:
Gap Long and Lean Maternity jeans - bought these in a size 4 - I think they fit pretty well - only thing is, after a few hours they stretch and looked kind of baggy on the but and thighs and weren't that flattering.
Yesterday went to Pea and the Pod and tried Seven Jeans and Citizens of Humanity - haven't worn them yet so don't know if they get the same stretched out look but they do fit more flattering than the gap ones and tighter. I liked the citizens of humanity best even though i like sevens better pre-preg just because the sizing goes by waist size and worked out to fit better - you can def. go as tight as you want in these (although i was afraid to,lol) and i think you will be happy with the look.
Good luck and hope this helps

Re: Maternity clothes--petite & slim girls
I hit the clearance rack in target this weekend and got 2 pairs of black pants in a size 2 that are REALLY comfortable for less than $7 each, and a pair of jeans in a size 4 that are a little big, and not so trendy - but again, comfortable and cheap (under $7). I also found 2 cotton tops in XS for $2.48 on that rack! I don't need tops yet, but I figured - why not?!
