Maternity Clothing for Work?
Is it just me, or is there not much maternity clothing that is suitable for work?
Recently, I looked in a Gap Maternity, Mimi Maternity, Motherhood Maternity, Ann Taylor Loft, Old Navy, and Target. I did buy a dress at Target, but that's all I've found. Lots of casual stuff at all of these stores (t-shirts and capris), but very few pants or skirts I can wear to work.
Oh, I also tried Pea in the Pod, and they have some good things, but their prices are out of my range.
I may go back to Motherhood (they had some things, though not much in my size). Any other stores to try? I'd prefer stores to online shopping since the sizing seems to vary so much.
Thank you!

Re: Maternity Clothing for Work?
I totally agree with you. As a lawyer, I have to dress very professionally, but it is nearly impossible to find appropriate work attire in any maternity section.
Whenever I go to a store's website or department for "career maternity" clothes, I am always disappointed. It's pretty much always what I consider business casual.
Basically, I do dress down a bit while pregnant. I really have no other choice. For court appearances and depositions, I bought a few quasi "power suits" at A Pea in the Pod but really hate spending the money for something I will only wear for a few months. Actually, I found some halfway decent maternity career clothes at jcpenney.com.
I swear...I'm going to open a maternity store selling real career maternity clothes after this baby is born!!

Same problem here. I've been dressing way down for days at the office but I am at a loss for clothes to wear to court (another lawyer here). I wore a regular suit with Bella Band today.

Re: Maternity Clothing for Work?
Hmmm, maybe I'll try JC Penney online.
Ann Taylor Loft has a disappointing selection so far. I thought they would have good stuff for work also, but from what I saw in their store, more casual clothing.
I don't even need to wear suits to work everyday, but I do need to dress in a semi-professional manner, and it's sad how little is out there. It does look like I'll be wearing more dresses, since those have been easier for me to fine than dress pants. Do these designers think most of us don't work?
I was thinking there probably is a real market waiting to be tapped here too.
