Lately anything DH does wakes me up - turning, moving around a lot, etc.

Are there any mattresses out there that really absorb the shock of his movement??

Tia!

Same! It's been fabulous!!! He used to flop around like a fish out water and wake me up all the time. Now... NOTHING!

Have you tried a latex mattress? Similar to foam but w/o the sinking feeling.

You can develop an allergy to latex, so this is not always a good choice. I personally find latex to have an odor.

DH and I had a memory foam mattress which in the beginnning was good. We did not feel each other move around. Over time it developed a huge hump in the middle and started to get uncomfortable.
We went back to a regular mattress, a Beauty Rest tbat we are happy with.

We got the sleep number bed. I do not toss and turn as much as I used to.

Very happy with it.

So far about 7-8 months. From the reviews it has, it's one of their better items.

ETA: If you're not comfortable getting something from Bob's, you can always get the actual Tempurpedic... but they're like triple the price, if not more.

Which kind do you have? Do they take away old mattress too? I'm trying to get DH to agree to Bobs

Gel. I'm not sure if they take away the old one b/c we kept it and used it in another room since it was still in good condition.

Re: Mattress rec

We have had a TempurPedic cloud supreme and absolutely love it. I had other pieces from Bobs and the quality wasn't there so I decided to invest a little. That said - I did get an awesome deal at the Sleepys outlet in Riverhead.

After TONS of research, I went with the Hotel Collection Vitagenic Mattress.
It's heavenly and worth every penny.
I don't wake with neck or back pain anymore.

It's an inner spring mattress but, it has cooling gel and a foam padding which was made in the USA.

I bought it from the Macy's Smithtown. They have the most selection of mattresses in that location.
I wanted to add that we had a large credit and was able to use that towards the mattress, which came in very handy at the right time.
