May Events: Fun with Kids
I don't know if anyone gets these emails but here is a list of things that you can do around LI in May with your kiddies!
We went to the LI Game Farm on opening day and the DD had a lot of fun (DS SLept the whole time)
Spring is in the air...

Just found out that there's an Arbor Day event at the Planting Fields this weekend. Anybody going? Sounds like fun.

And there's also a FREE Junior Ranger Day event at the Fire Island Lighthouse on Saturday. And it's supposed to be in the 80's.

oh well, it was a beautiful day, but a little cool, which is expected by the ocean. The walk from the parking lot to the lighthouse was a little far, but since it was sunny out, we didn't mind.
It was a very educational event. We learned how to use a compass, track animals, and all about how wrecked ships off the shore were rescued and the kids earned their junior ranger patches.
The kids even made really cute wind socks.
Would highly recommend this event next year, but make sure you bring a bag lunch. They don't offer any food or drinks there.

I went to the Air Show on Sunday. It was very foggy and the show was postponed until about noon. Then the show started and it was a beautiful day. What a show! There was even a bunch of blow-up slides for the kids, but I think they were charging for it.

That's why we haven't went yet. I feel bad because Nicholas loves it, but we can go to Adventureland for a fraction of the price.
