We go to Pediatric Health Associates in Plainview I really like them, although we've only been for well visits and H1N1 vaccines.

My friend has been going there for 2 or 3 years now and raves about them.

I live in Bethpage and go to Dr. Calma at Mid Island Pediatrics on 109 in Farmingdale. I love her and so does DS.

Not in that area, but worth the drive. We go to a great ped in RVC. He's the only dr in the practice and I trust him 100%

Let me know if you want the info.

For those who go to Pediatric Assoc of Plainview - what is the wait like? That is my issue with my current ped, they are a large practice but too many patients I guess bc the waits are torturously long.

We left that practice because of the waits too. For the well visits we waited less than 15 minutes, and no wait in the exam room.

For the H1N1 we waited about 30 minutes, but that was set up differently. They had 2 nurses doing them and the rest of the staff handling the regular appointments. Plus everyone had to fill out paperwork before they got the vaccine.

We know 3 other families that left that practice and everyone says how there is almost no wait, it's like night and day. And I love that I can email them with non-emergency questions and they respond fast. A doctor called me back about an hour later on a behavior/emotional issue, something I probably would have waited at least a day for at the old practice.

Just made the switch to PHA as well. We have an appt tomorrow afternoon for the H1N1 shots. It'll be our first time there.

For us the waiting room visits are short - I have been kept in the exam rooms for a while on a few occasions but nothing too bad. It also depends on the time you go.

I have been going here for over 2 years. I like the practice, I just feel like I am always waiting a long time. On Monday I had a 2:45 sick visit for my son and the doc did not come in til an hour later. That is the part that annoys me.
