Halo by Beyoncé was playing a lot when I was pregnant w DD. It gives me chills now
With this pregnancy, Miracle by Foo Fighters... I love it so much
On the opposite side of things, I hate hearing anything Fleet Foxes bc I was really into them around the time my MIL was sick and passed away
My son loved fleet foxes when he was 5!!! I know what you mean about listening to something during a bad time. I get that way about music too!!!

These all have special meaning with DH and I:
Bring Me Sunshine by Willie Nelson Feeling Good by Nina Simone Faithfully by Matt the Electrician Stoned on Love Again- Lords of Acid Across the Universe Movie Soundtrack
Elton John & Billy Joel reminds me of my dad, we listed to their albums every sunday morning when I was younger.
Santa Must Be Polish by Bobby Vinton reminds me so much of my polish grandmother. We listen to it when we make our home made pierogies every december.

Re: Meaningful songs to you
'Tears in Heaven' by Eric Clapton came out like a week before my grandmother died. I still can't really listen to it anymore.
'We're Alive' and 'For an Angel' by Paul van Dyk and a few others by him. 45 RPM album was replayed many times. Not many words, but at that point in my life it was easier to just listen to beats and no lyrics.
Albums 'Unknown Pleasures' and 'Closer' by Joy Division and other songs by them 'Love Will Tear Us Apart' etc. Basically everything by them!
'Round and Round', 'Procession', and so many more by New Order (So many of them helped me at times)
"Wohin willst du gehen?' Melotron
'Second Skin' The Chameleons
'Beautiful Things' Andain
At the moment it's 'Tether' by Chvrches
Oh yeah, 'Sex Bomb' by Tom Jones, lol. Went on a 6 week trip with a friend and this song was played over and over, everywhere we went it seemed. Good times!

Meaningful songs to you
It sounds silly but "Your Love" by the Outfiled was my favorite song for a while. It was my song on my myspace profile and my go to for Karaoke and I always requested it at the bar. When I first met my husband, we were playing Dek hockey and I was sitting in the parking lot, waiting to go into the rink blasting it. He came up to me and said "What do you just listen to that song on repeat all day?"
When I had my son I was induced, the epidural didn't take and I was in extreme pain. They decided to do a C section since my blood pressure was just climbing and not going down. I was scared, and they made my husband go into the other room to change so I was by myself being wheeled into the cold operating room. I was almost in tears, and then I heard "Your love" on the radio in the operating room and I knew everything was going to be all right (and it was!).

Re: Meaningful songs to you
Hallelujah - Rufus Wainwright (the one from Shrek). I used to sing this to DS when I would wake up to do night feedings with him. I was going through a very rough time (was in the process of my divorce) and DS is what got me through. This song bring tears to my eyes when I hear it.
Thinking out loud by Ed Sheeran - this one is recent but it reminds me of DH.
Any Sam Cooke song reminds me of my dad (he loves Animal House and Sam Cooke sang several songs in it). We danced to Nothing Can Change This Love by Sam Cooke at my wedding.
Lady Antebellum's I Need You Now - reminds me of DH and I when we first started dating.

so many songs are meaningful to me, here's a few:
"forever young" by bob dylan - we named my middle DS dylan and this song fits him so perfectly
"smile" by uncle kracker - reminds me of my oldest DS
"my wish" by rascall flatts - reminds me of my wish for both my boys
"daylight" by maroon 5 - reminds of my maternity leave and how hard that time was for me going back to work
"somwhere over the rainbow" the hawaiian version. on a beach on my honeymoon with my DH. #bliss.

Meaningful songs to you
Mama's Song by Carrie Underwood. It was the song I walked down the aisle to when I got married. A year later mom was diagnosed with cancer and she passed away 6 months later. It was so unexpected. I can not even think about the song without getting teary eyed.
How do I live without you - also from my wedding. DH and I work together and I always say our lives are so dependent upon each other if anything were to ever happen to him, I would have to quit my job because I would not be able to go there anymore.
