medela bottles/nipples for feeding breast milk to baby?
Did anyone use these and like them? I also have avent ones that i havent opened yet. Weve been using them for the past two days and they seem to be ok.

I always used my born free bottles and used the medela bottles just for storage unless in a pinch. They don't control flow, etc., I guess depends how old baby is. But if your baby is taking it fine-- then that's all that matters.

I only used the medela one once and it was just b/c I was in a bind. We use the avent and DD does well with them.

How would I know if they're not good for them? They are not burping or spitting up afterwards. Thanks

Not before 2 months. From there after, I only used them when I am too lazy to transfer the pumped milk into breastflows or dr. brown bottles.

Re: medela bottles/nipples for feeding breast milk to baby?
I use the medela bottle but not the nipples. In the hospital I had to start supplementing with formula and the babies were already used to the nipples that came with the similac prefilled bottles so we have been using those nipples. The hospital gave us a bag full of nipples! I'll probably move on to the Dr Brown's bottles once we start giving more formula.

I used them sometimes when I didn't feel like transferring milk to another bottle. Never had a a problem.

medela bottles/nipples for feeding breast milk to baby?
I used them once in a while when we were going out. I was concerned about gas issues and one of my friends told me they leak (but I never had that issue). I usually only used them for pumping and storing. I never had a problem with them, but his tummy is sensitive so I stuck with playtex drop-ins for the most part.

Re: medela bottles/nipples for feeding breast milk to baby?
i used them for a little while and hated them! They always collapsed when DS was eating - LO was always a "hard" sucker so maybe thats why, but we couldnt use them. We ended up using the disposable ones from the Advanced similac to go bottles (we were able to snatch some in the hospital), they fit on the medela bottles and thats what we worked for us.

Re: medela bottles/nipples for feeding breast milk to baby?
I rarely used them with DS1. We used Avent bottles for daycare. He did well with those, but I didn't really care for them. They seemed to leak pretty often.
I only tried the Medela bottle once with DS2. It took him forever to finish the bottle. It was the first time he had a bottle so that could've also been the reason he took so long. We use Born Free for daycare and he does great with them. I prefer them over Avent. I just use the Medela ones for pumping and storage.
