I'm crashing.....
I have the shoulder one and I think it's fine. The pump works well (I always use it plugged in -- haven't tried the battery pack)
My only complaint is it's a little big. When my sister was pregnant I got her the backpack one and it's a lot easier to carry around.

Not sure what you mean by automatic or manual.
It's pretty fast. I'm sure it all depends on your supply too. I'm able to pump a few of ounces in about 10-15 minutes.

I have the PISA. The only difference between the 2 you posted is how they look. Otherwose they are exactly the same pump. I have the regular bag style- the metro bag just "looks" sharper I suppose.
It's a great pump. It's electric/battery operated. I will say that I tried to always use it plugged in as the suction just wasn't the same when used on batteries only. I used that pump for 2 children who I nursed/pumped until about a year for each.
This baby I bought the new Medela Freestyle pump. I will say that the Freestyle blows the PISA out of the water. It's rechargeable and the suction is the same whether plugged in or on battery power. It's also MUCH smaller than the PISA- and can be used handsfree. I'm able to fully pump 5oz within 8 minutes with this thing. It's a bit more money, but totally worth it.

They are the same pump, they are just in different bags. I have the shoulder bag one, but I never brought it anywhere so it didn't really matter which bag it was in.
It worked great for me when it was plugged in, but never worked with the batteries. I don't know if mine is defective or what, but since i only used it at home, it wasn't really an issue.

I have the PISA shoulder bag and it works great. I use it every day at work and no problems. I have never used the battery pack, I always plug it in.

if you are going back to work get a freestyle - works great and ligth weight - so much easier to bring back and forth each day plus it does not loose suction on battery
