Medium sized backpack? Pottery Barn?
DC needs a medium sized backpack for school. What size does this mean in pottery barn terms? I know the pre-k backpack is small, but then it goes from small to large with no medium size...is the small an ok size or do I go for the large?? Image Attachment(s):

How old is she? The small is pretty small also. We did use that one in K if I remember correctly. We have used the large for 1st and 2nd and it's not gigantic. If you will be using it more than one year, I would go for large.

She is 5, so I will probably get her the large since I want it to last more than a year!

Re: Medium sized backpack? Pottery Barn?
Truthfully I found the pottery barn backpacks to be made poorly. Got them for my kids one year and they did not hold up well. Also, if the zipper or anything breaks you are s.o.l. Will never order them again, Check out lands end or llbean for good quality backpacks that the company stands behind and will replace if there is a problem.

Do the large. We did the small for DS and I found it to be a bit too small for all his projects in Kindergarten.

Re: Medium sized backpack? Pottery Barn?
My DD is almost 7, going into 2nd grade in the fall, and I got her the small.........she's been using it for a few months now and it is the perfect size. All she has to bring back and forth to school is a folder and a lunchbox so I felt like the large would be overkill. That will be a better size once she is in the intermediate grades (3-6) and has more things to schlep around.

I got the large for DS in kindergarten ...good size to transport notebook, folder, change of clothes art projects etc. The backpack is going on its second year and still looks good! the only thing I am replacing is the lunchbox .... they are on sale today with free shipping!

DS had the large in Kindergarten. It's in perfect condition and going to be used again along with the matching lunchbox again for 1st grade.
