Message from the doctor's office
I had my 3 hour glucose test on Tuesday. I came home today and there was a message from one of the nurses. I'm assuming that I must have failed the 3 hour test. Ugh. I can't imagine a nurse would call me to tell me I passed especially when she said that one of the doctors asked her to call. I got the exact same numbers on the 1 hour test with both pregnancies so I was hoping that I would pass the 3 hour this time too.
I'll find out for sure tomorrow, but what happens if you are diagnosed with GD? How bad is it? I really hate the idea of pricking my finger multiple times per day, but I guess there's no way to avoid that. Is it hard to stick with the GD diet?

Re: Message from the doctor's office
depends on your numbers.
usually docs want you to try diet first and see hwo that goes.
if not controlled they usually add a medication orally
if that doesnt work then they add insulin.
etc etc
i was dxd early and just did the pill and testing.. as the preg progressed i had to add insulin and then more insulin...bc of the baby getting bigger and more strain on my body.
no the diet isnt toooooo hard but carrying around needles and crap all day is annoying to say the least!!!!!!
i hope you did pass but if not there are alot of gd girls taht can help on here xoxo
