My OBGYN just put me on this supplement but when I picked it up from the pharmacy and began reading up on it it says to check with your doctor or pharmacist if pregnant and to discuss potential risks to your baby! What the heck! Does anyone have anymore insight on this supplement?

I would assume if your OB prescribed it it's fine. I'm sure they Re aware you're pregnant. :)

Re: Metanx
It's a high dose of folic and B vitamins and if you were prescribed it, then you are in need of it and it's okay. Pregnant women who absorb folic and B12 normally do not need that amount and would be cautioned so I'm assuming it's just cautionary in general bc it's a higher than normal dose but it won't hurt you. I take folguard which is the same and my Drs were pretty forceful about me taking it being that I'm diagnosed with MTHFR. We need the extra amounts so try not to worry.
