Is anyone else on it? What are your thoughts on it? What are the side effects you have had? Any info would be helpful.
TIA!!!

Re: metformin???
I am only on 750mg and have NO side effects. When I was on 1500 though, it made me nauseous. I used it the cycle I got pregnant- though it was along with fertility drugs, iui .. Metformin alone has helped MANY women ovulate on their own though!!!
Good luck!

Re: metformin???
I am on it, for glucose intolerence. I started with 500 mg for a few days then went onto 1000 mg. I was just upped to 2000mg/day yesterday.
Since I started on it a few weeks ago, I got AF then I came down with Bronchitis (strong antibiotic, cough med w/ codine & steriod inhaler prescribed) ---- so I'm not sure what the stomach cramps, naseau and dizziness are from.
I am hoping they subside when I feel better and am off the other meds and just on Metformin/Prenatals/Folic Acid/DHA.

Re: metformin???
2000/day for the past year plus and a smaller dose before that.
When I first started taking it, I had the worst nausea. But then I realized I really needed to take it with food, and not raisins or a bite of something, with a meal. Now I never have issues with it.

Re: metformin???
update from me: I mistakenly went from 1000 to 2000 mg's .. instead of going from 1000 to 1500 to 2000. BIG MISTAKE. I was so sick I couldn't even function. I went back down to 1500 for a bit and now just upped it again to 2000 mg. You must take it with food. Not a snack, but real food. And for me, it does make me a bit dizzy and naseusous. It messes with my stomach too, but I hope I adjust soon.
Good luck!
