Metformin and/or progesterone users

How long did you stay on the meds while pregnant? Did you "wean off" of them or just stop?
I am taking metformin for blood sugar. Should I ask for a gloucose test before coming off of it?
These meds make me so nervous.

When I got pregnant with my DD my RE had me stop the Metformin as soon as I got my BFP. I stayed on progesterone until the end of my 8th week which is when the placenta starts to take over.

This pregnancy, I was not on Met before my FET, but was on progesterone until I was 12 weeks since my progesterone levels dropped dramatically after I stopped the injections at 7 1/2 weeks.


ETA: I wasn't on Metformin for blood sugar issues though. There are plenty of women that are on it throughout their pregnancies.

My RE had me come off metaformin the day I got a positive beta, and progesterone i was on till 10 weeks.

The OB had me stay on the Metformin till I was 13 weeks. I started weening myself off at 12 weeks and was completely done at the end of 13 weeks.

He wants me to stay on both until 10 weeks, I was just trying to see if that was the norm.
I am concerned about coming off of the Metformin because I am on it for my glucose I had GD with my first pregnancy. Maybe I should remind him of that...

i took Met until the end of the first trimester. didnt wean off. progesterone i stopped earlier than the first trim. but i dont remember how long, maybe 2 weeks after finding out i was pregnant
