thats the best part!! when i found out that we are keeping martinez, that made it even better!! we will have a nice rotation!!

I think they did the right thing. You have to play for a championship today and not worry so much about the future now.
i just hope the curse doesn't grab him

i just cant believe the mets were the team to get him!! the yankees offfered 2 of their big players and were turned down.. it just suprises me.

well you have to figure
the twins and the yanks are in the same league
if it came down to the ALCS, and the twins were in it - they'd likely have to play the yankees
you don't want to help someone who deal with on a regular basis

thats a good point.. i am suprised though that the yankees backed out so quickly..they desperatley need a pitcher too.. but i see where you are coming from

you also have to figure that the steroid scandal with the yankees might make teams hesitant to deal with them

now i can see why boston didnt pursue him further..their rotation is excellent!! now the yankees im still a little suprised with..but yes, the steroids might be a big factor as well..
i was not suprised to see locuca on that list.

Couldn't handle the bright light and big city. I think he'll do fine. (fingers crossed)
now i now burnitz, and mo vaughn were definetly a let down.. and of course right when burnitz left the mets he was a superstar in milwaukee.. i was so ****** off!!!
now i know Nady did pretty well the mets but can you believe how great he is doing in Pitt?? its crazy!
