Does anyone have recommendations for a great Mexican restaurant in western Nassau or eastern Queens? I wanted to go to Besito, but it's already all booked for the day/time we need.

We are picking up a friend in Kew Gardens, so we don't want to stray too far from western Nassau at all. Also, it must have ample parking right nearby. My mother is ill and has trouble walking a distance.

Poco Loco is very good but last time I was there, the service was severely lacking and it was empty. We were seated right by the bar where all of the wait staff was standing around and we waited forever for our plates to be cleared and drinks to be refilled. We had to wave our arms around to get their attention every time. I'm never one to complain about service but it was just bad.

K Pacho is pretty good but trendy.

I don't know if this is too far east for you but South of the Border in Levittown is pretty good.
