Mexico Resort recommendations for Xmas break
Looking to go away for 4-5 nights the last week of December. Wanted to stay at Rosewood Mayakoba again but the only room they have available is over $3k per night.
We would like to fly to Cancun so we are looking for a kid friend luxury resort in the Riviera Maya or Cancun area.
Also, has anyone been to Xcaret? Is it good for kids? My childless friend went recently and her pics looked amazing. Wondering if it is appropriate for 4 and 6 year olds. http://www.xcaret.com/

Re: Mexico Resort recommendations for Xmas break
Xcaret is DEFINITELY good for families! They have snorkeling, dolphin encounters, etc. Lots of programs for families.
Anything is going to be pretty pricey with limited availability that week. One of the properties I like for budget conscious clients is the Catalonia Riviera Maya. The Playa Maroma property is also a great family resort.
Both are available are very well priced.
There are some more upscale properties available too - ME Royal Park Cancun might have more of the boutique feel you're looking for. And there is available at the RIU Palace resorts
Royalton Riviera Cancun as well. Let me know if I can help.
