Milk

I have been introducing regular milk to my 1 year old. He seems to be ok with it. I hate the idea of taking milk with us when we will be out all day. I know I can keep it cool with ice packs and all but I thought that it might be easier if we just use powder whole milk on those days.
What powder milk do you ladies recommend?

Re: Milk

I don't use powdered milk but I have seen the milk boxes that don't need to be refrigerated.

Re: Milk

How much milk is your child drinking each day?

By the time my DS was 1- he was drinking 8-24 oz of milk/day...

2 bottles...

There was never a need to carry milk out with us- and if for some reason we needed it... I just ordered it at a restuarant or used whatever milk whomever had in their fridge...

Same here, you can always stop at a 7-11 to get some if you have to. It is more difficult when you first switch over, because milk is still treated like formula (like a meal I mean) but pretty quickly it gets more like a drink and is easier to manage.

He is still drinking 24 oz sometimes 28 a day. Hopefully that will change soon. I was thinking more for the fact that I would have to warm it up. I guess with the summer around the corner, I should start to get him use to drinking it cold.

Re: Milk

Emily also only has milk in the morning and night. In the afternoon she drinks juice/water.

There were a few times though that I packed milk for us and just put it in one of the insulated sippy cups, and then put that inside an insulated lunch-box type bag.
