Milk allergy question
Jaidyn has some kind of allergy. Her first reaction is when I mixed amoxicillin with yogurt to get her to take the medicine. She got all swollen and covered in hives that we rushed her to the ER. They said it could be either to the amoxicillin or to dairy. Recently we tried amoxicillin and she did fine so we know it's not that. She eats pizza with cheese and will eat ice cream when she gets a taste and does fine no reaction at all. When I gave her mac & cheese for the first time she had another reaction and then had one when she stole a cheese doodle from Damien. So I thought she may be allergic to processed cheese. So the ped said based on that we could try milk but to only give her a drop. So today I tried a tiny bit and right away I notice a hive on her cheek. Is it possible to have a milk allergy but still be able to tolerate ice cream and cheese
TIA

no, if it is a milk sensitivity is will be with all milk products, I would have to say it must be anoher ingredient, get an allergy profile done. If you need any help/advice just FM me, my daughter dealt with a sever milk allergy for the 1st 20 months of her life

Re: Milk allergy question
Perhaps she's allergic to a food additive. I would def. go to an allergist to get her tested though.
