What do you do with your LO's during the day. What kind of activities do you go to?
We're going to be on LI for 3 weeks during/after Thanksgiving and we're looking for places to check out!
thank you!

I am not a mom but I live in the area. My sis has a 3 month old and they go to the Heritage Park, Rocket Ship Park, Cedar Beach...I think there's a mommy and me place, and a childrens art center too.

2010 marks the 15th year for the Village of Port Jefferson Charles Dickens Festival and what incredible changes have occurred in the world and with the Festival itself. Born from the idea and insight of then Village Trustee Jeanne Garant, the Festival has grown and changed into one of the top 10 must see events on Long Island. As everyone is reading this on the Dickens web site, back in 1995, the Internet was in its infancy – much has changed. Jeanne Garant went on to become Mayor of Port Jefferson and the festival was nurtured and grew into the fantastic event of today.
The Charles Dickens Festival began life as an economic development event for the business district in Port Jefferson in the hopes that it would draw people into the Village during the holiday season. The Festival quickly became a magical weekendfor children and families across the region offering a multitude of events for free – especially nice during this economic turndown. The Crystal Ball is back this year, joining traditional events and new adventures. With the entire Village participating, the Dickens stage is set again this year for December 3, 4 and 5… and a splendid time is guaranteed for all. Please join us for a magical weekend.
Thank you so much! The parade sounds fab, definitely want to take him there. And glad to know we'll be around for the Dickens Festival!
