Mini summer vacation. Newport, RI anyone?
Looking to go with two families away over the summer for a long weekend. What's your thought on Newport, RI? Anyone been? Any ideas where to stay?
It's for our family, my SIL's and IL's. My SIL will have a 5 month old then.
Thanks!
If not Newport any other ideas?
Lake George?
Want to travel the most 3 - 4 hours.

Mini summer vacation. Newport, RI anyone?
LOVE LOVE LOVE newport. We stayed at the jail house inn. Close to everyhing and nice.

I went to a work conference for 2 days in Newport this past July. I stayed at the Marriott and it was really nice! I didn't have too much down time as my conferences were 9-5 both days but we did walk around the shops and ate dinner at the Black Pearl and The Mooring--they were both pretty good. We also had drinks on the rooftop bar at Vanderbilt Grace which was nice.
