Don't give up, there are leave replacements and subbing positions out there. Get yourself in good districts and if they like you teachers will request you. I started off subbing in several districts and then got a permanent sub position. In the beginning of the school year you will most likely not get many phone calls. But don't give up!

I will never give up!! Teaching is the only thing I feel satisfied doing. I used to love cosmetics and retail mgmt (which means I should LOVE my current job). It just isn't rewarding anymore. Nothing compares to hearing my students call me Miss. P and having conversations with them whree I know I am making a difference.
