Missing cat

My cat went missing- I'm pretty sure my boys let him out this morning. We're in West Babylon. He is gray and white with a black bell collar. He has no tag. He's on medication, so we need to get him home to give him his pills. His name is Moogle. I'm not sure what to do. We have been looking for him for a half hour, but he's no longer on our property. Any help (or advice on what to do) would be great.

Any chance he's in the house hiding somewhere? That happened to me a couple of years ago. Somehow my cat got into the basement and was there overnight hiding behind the tv in the wall unit.

Thanks- we looked all over the house- he's definitely not here. We saw a post on the local shelter page that said a cat fitting his description was found a block away from us!!! However, they gave him to another woman who thought he was hers (but said he wasn't- she was going to ring him to a shelter though whereas the lady who found him was going to leave him outside). DH was able to get in touch with that lady and he is on his way to see if she has our cat!
