are you KIDDING me? Seriously? The "mother" knows where the child is but yet her and the grandmother would rather waste valuable resources looking for her....ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS> I think the grandma should be thrown in jail for hindering a police investigation....
No, I am not kidding you. In my opinion, whenever the press gets involved in an ongoing criminal investigation these days, it gets f'd up, making it more likely that a criminally responsible person goes free at prosecution time or that a non-criminally responsible person gets punished.
I just learned about the car issue and yes, that sounds pretty damning for the mother. But it's still the POLICE's job to conduct the investigation, not the press.
Assume for a second that EITHER of these women (either the mom or the grandma) is criminally innocent. I'm not talking morally bankrupt or parentally subpar, I'm talking criminally innocent. That's what our criminal justice system is based on, isn't it? Now, listen to the interview again. If it's even possible that the grandmother is innocent, the interview becomes an outrage.
From what I understand, much of the damning info on the mom came from the grandma, so I don't see how she is hindering the police. They just didn't want to respond to those questions on national TV.
It's an awful story. But the media has become vulture-like when these things happen now. Rant over.

I think that reporter wayyyy was out of line saying "they are looking out for Caylee which is more than the family did"
I think they mean how can a child be missing from a house that 5 people live in but it takes a month to realize the child is not around. Plus a babysitter excuse would be bogus because the parents know the daughter didn't work. She had to steal their money and car. Which started the realization that "Hey Caylee hasn't been around..."
Casey and Caylee moved out of the grandmother's house. What happened after that and where she was staying, the Grandmother has no idea, and why should she really? I mean Casey is an adult and unfortunately you can't MAKE your kids stay in contact with you. Not to mention, I do believe the Grandmother was away for some time and when she came back is when she called 911. I *think*

Re: Missing Orlando toddler--Caylee Anthony
This whole story makes me sick. I'm glad that reporter ripped in to the grandmother a little. If she really cared about her granddaughter, she would be doing everything possible to extract the information out of her own daughter.
I really hope Caylee is still alive, but in my heart, I just don't think she is.
This mother should rot in H E L L

I belive it's been said the grandmother has not been allowed to visit her daughter or speak to her in jail, so there really is no way to extract information from her. Sadly.

So basically, following proper police procedure, or whatever reason they are not allowed to speak to each other, is more important than finding this little girl? And why is this jerk of a mother only going to speak to HER mother? Tell the damned cops what you know!

She probably wouldn't tell the grandmother anything either if she was allowed to see her, she's a screwed up one for sure. I really think the grandmother doesn't want to come out and say she thinks Casey did it, then people may scale back on searching for her. There was a blurb about her being spotted in an airport with someone, but I haven't heard if that lead to anything or was a dead end.

I hope they find this little girl. The mother needs to be in jail forever. She is an idiot!

I just saw the video and I too think that statement was uncalled for. That reported didn't want to be embarrased on air so she had to give a dig at the end. But you know that will just make more people see Caylees picture and spread the word.
Part of me wonders if something unintentional happened to Caylee and Casey created and elaborate cover up because she was scared. I don't know but these stories break my heart.
