Mixing formula question
Why does it say on the can "unpacked" scoops? What do they mean by that exactly? Am I supposed to be mixing heaping scoops?

Re: Mixing formula question
I think it also says level scoops, right?
It just means scoop it up ans don't sqish it down to make room for more.
I used to scoop it then level the top with a knife or the top of the can.

yes - it says unpacked level scoop, but how do you level without packing it down a little, if that makes sense... but I see what you mean - they dont want people stuffing the scoop I guess?

just lightly run your finger or the flat side of a knife across the top of the scoop to level it off. don't press it in there.

Re: Mixing formula question
i called the company and asked them what that meant when i started on formula. they said you scoop the formula into the scoop, dont pack it down and leave airpockets if you see them. don't press formula into the scoop

Re: Mixing formula question
Thanks ladies.
This is another one of those moments when I think - gee, I have 2 masters degrees and an advanced degree. Why does something like formula baffle me?
