mixing oatmeal and jar food
when you mix oatmeal and lets say..apples, or a vegetable...do you make the oatmeal like usual with the formula..or just mix the dry oatmeal with the jar food??

wow, I was going to post this exact question. well, that and do you mix oatmeal and fruit first? or do you give oatmeal & then 1/2 jar of fruit.

I just mix the oatmeal with either the fruit or veggie that I'm giving her at that time.

I make the oatmeal as I would with the formula and then mix in the fruit or veggie. Not sure if that is right, but that's how I do it!

I make the oatmeal with breastmilk or formula and then add the food. I want to make sure I'm getting that bit of formula in there too, since DS isn't a big eater.

This is exactly what I do, I am pretty sure this is how the ped explained it to me as well.

Ok..my mom has DS today and i told her to mix the oatmeal and apples...never thinking if the formula should be mixed in. but thats how she did it.
little chunker ate it all and the rest of the jar of apples..
