MLSLI question
When a condo lists common charges, ie- $379... That's monthly, correct? And that includes taxes or not? What else is included?
Also- I would imagine each condo doesn't have it's own oil tank- how do expenses like that differ with owning a house?
TIA!

Re: MLSLI question
The monthly maintance fee does not include taxes on a condo.
Every condo is different as to what is included in the maintance fee. Ours includes: -water -basic cable (but obviously you still need to upgrade) -pool & community hall -snow removal -landscaping outside our patio (ie all the grounds) -drive by security from 9PM-9AM Mon-Sun -maintance of the roads, common paths, fences, etc -roof and siding maintance (ie cleaning including gutters)

Re: MLSLI question
Yes, thats a monthly fee. If its a condo it does NOT include taxes. If its a co-op it does. It includes maintenance of the exterior of the condo, and landscaping, snow removal, etc.

Re: MLSLI question
You guys are always helpful- thanks! What about a homeowner's association? Or a townhouse? Are you familiar with the differences there?
And with a condo- how do the oil tanks work? Do you have your own, or is there one per building? How do those costs get figured out? And what about septic or sewar systems? Are there monthly or yearly costs for that?
