Re: Mommies that went back to work recently and left DC in Daycare/non family babysitter...
I eased my way into it. I worked from home a few days when I put DS in daycare. The first day, I literally came home and cried---especially when I went into his bedroom and he wasnt there.
Now its three weeks in and DS is happy there. I get reports about all the fun things they are doing everyday. The downside is that while i am at work I am always wishing i could be with him...at 5pm I am bolting out the door ( i never did that before)
Another downside is that he had a fever and ear infection within 2 weeks there....I felt sad that I exposed him to germs
Look...it is not easy...but I am trying my best to make the best of my time with him

What helps me is knowing how happy she is with her sitter. Although I would love to be home with her still, I know she is having a ball where she is and that makes me leaving for work a lot easier.

For me, it did get easier after a few weeks, after my son stopped screaming every day and started playing with the other kids. Look, it's never going to be ideal, and I am never going to be OK with it. But I accept that this is our life and there is nothing we can do about it.

You "kind of" get use to it. The first day is horrible.
It did help that DS adapted very quickly. I did not do as well as he did and felt a bit sad that he was doing so well.
I guess I felt I was not needed..... Yes, weird and maybe jealousy!!! I am better now. I still hate to leave him there. I pick him up asap everyday.
