Mommies what are your plans for New Years?
Just curious...as of now we have NO plans...every year since we met we've gone to a B&B in NH, but this year we got hit hard w/ car repair expenses & DD is only barely 6 months & so we're not going this year.
Want to get some ideas...although we may just enjoy being in our new home & have a quiet one....

we're just planning on a quiet night at home. I want to find something really nice to make for dinner, but that's about it.

We don't know. My parents would probably babysit but I am not sure if I am up to going to the city where some of my friends will be in a bar.

we are going away for a new years 3 day trip with family/friends to willow valley. They have a whole celebration the whole time. Carnival, parties etc...

Staying home. DW is going to make a bunc of appetizers,and we'll just snack on things until 12:30 or so.
Whatever you eat in 2007,stays in 2007, so we won't gain any weight by eating a lot of junk on Dec. 31st......

Lots of our friends had their first baby this year and a few are expecting. We're going to a baby friendly party hosted by one of the expecting couples.

I think we're going out to Friendly's with DH's sister, BIL and their 2 kids, plus our mutual friends and their 2 kids. Then we'll all come back to our house and just hang out till the kids want to go to sleep.

One of the mommies from my playgroup I have is hosting a party for all the families at their house.. There will be 9 families.. She is catering it from an Italian restaurant in her area and we are all chipping in for it.. It start at 5 will be home by 9 so the kids can go to sleep...
We did the same thing last year and it was perfect...

We might get together with nieghbors. We were invited out to a friends house but then we would have to sleep over and DH would rather be in his own bed. i don't like being on the road on that night especially with DS so we'll probably do the neighbor thing.

I'm hoping to drag DH into Manhattan for the night. My idea is that we'll bring the kids, count down until 8 or 8:30pm with the kids, give kisses, scream like mad people & put them to bed. Then stay up with DH & watch the ball drop together.
I think they have fireworks over the river - and I've heard you can hear the roar of the crowd from where we would be staying.
He's probably hoping to stay home, count down with the kids early & hang out here.
I know it's the same thing but I think my location is better.

I couldn't get a babysitter for New Years so we decided to go out to a nice dinner the night before New Years with Melijane and her DH and then on New Years melijane and her DH are coming over. Mel husband is a great cook so he will probably cook dinner and we will play games and drink. Melijane and her DH rock!

We are visiting my inlaws and SIL in NJ - staying at my SIL's house - her 2 bdrm house - me, DH, 2 stepdaughters, and Cailen!!! 
We did it last year, but took up less room with Cailen still in utero!!!
