i think my friend is having a family friendly new years at her house since she couldn't get a sitter...all of our family is in ny so we'll either go to her house or stay home and ring it in together w/our newest addition. my stepson will be with his mom - so at least we won't have him cry this year b/c she didn't call

We go to BIL's house in Pittsburgh and DH's immediate family all goes. It's a fun night in with the fire going, playing games, singing karaoke - so much fun

Well, JT offered to work on NYE because it's sick azz overtime pay, so Ava and I are sleeping over my sister's house and we're watching a bunch of 80s movies in our pjs

Every yr we just stay home, cook a good meal (usually shrimp scampi) then make some snacks to pick on and play monopoly (which lasts forever ) but this yr dh's friend and wife along with their children might come over. We like to just sit home we're lame

Going next door to my neighbors house. Like we did last year. We eat dinner, drink, Jacob plays with their 2 girls, then I put him to bed around 9 and then I go back with the video monitor and drink till the new year! Its a great time!

One of my friends invited us out to her house in LI. It's just going to be her, her DH and their DS and of course me, DH and DS. Her sister may stop by later on with her fiance.

One of the mommies from my playgroup I have is hosting a party for all the families at their house.. There will be 9 families.. She is catering it from an Italian restaurant in her area and we are all chipping in for it.. It start at 5 will be home by 9 so the kids can go to sleep...
We did the same thing last year and it was perfect...
I LOVE that idea!!
We are staying in...i am preparing a big chocolate fondue spread for dh after ds goes to bed!

Ah have things have changed. Since having kids, we get together at a friend's house at 5, and have a big house party, kids, grandparents and all. My kids wait fro this event every year, and the 4 grandmas compete over who will bring the "most loved" dish. The kids play games, and watch movies, some of the grandparents play cards and the rest of us have fun begin together. In all honesty, this beats all the big new years plans I use to have.
