Mommies...I need help...Today is the first time I'm dealing with....
baby throw up.....
she ate breakfast fine....half a banana, 3/4 plain waffle with a touch of butter and some grapes & watermelon. That was fine....
then she started her milk and up it all came.....
I'm not really sure what to give her to eat or drink now or WHY it happened.
Advice please?

Give pedialyte/Gatorade in a medicine syringe-about 3 mL every 5 mins. (I just got back from the hospital, where DD spent 3 days because of vomiting/dehydration, and that's their recommendation.) If she is up to solid food, try the BRAT diet: bananas, rice, applesauce, toast. Good luck...it isn't easy!

When Gi-ga got the stomach bug, Her pediatrician told me to give her pedia-lyte, make sure she didn't have a fever and let it work it way through her body.. The most important thing is she doesn't get dehydrated.. I hope she feels good ASAP!

Unfortunately I've been down this road more times than I care to remember. Both my kids are "hurlers." I always worried about how to determine if they were dehydrated. I've been told to check that their diaper is misty every few hours; their lips are not cracked; and they can make tears. Other than that start with the Pedialyte, if she won't take that I've done juice (don't water it because water is hard on a sick belly) and don't worry about food, she'll make up for it when she feels better.
HTH and I hope she's better soon.

I'm sorry to hear. Jack had the same thing except it started tuesday at bedtime. When phegran up the bum wouldn't calm it down I took him to ER for fluids. Luckily being proactive about fluids made a huge difference because I guess he wasen't really dehdrayted yet. I'd buy a bunch of pedialyte and some ice pops. The vomitting tore up Jack's troat so the ice pops were great for him and then some toast and applesauce when she is feeling better. I heard rotovirius is going around rampant right now and we are figuring that if it was that he may have picked up it sunday at the zoo from passing around the petting zoo food or who knows even if the person dishing out the petting zoo food washes his hands.. argh..
I hope she feels better fast!
