Mommy and Me Saf T Swim BTDT
This might sound stupid, but... I'm signed up for the Mommy and Me class at Riverhead starting 2/18. Last week I developed a breast abscess due to mastitis and had to have an incision and drainage (disgusting!). I'm still trying to schedule with the breast center at Stony Brook, so I don't know if I'm getting stitched up or not. Anyway, if I have stitches, or if I have a completely covered wound, can I still participate? I'm assuming that I won't be in the deep end with DS, but will I be able to stay in water below chest level (it's at the top of my bra line). I was hoping to use a waterproof bandage and then a shirt over my suit. What do you think?

i think you should call saf-t swim and ask them. you'll definitely be in the shallow end, but will squat down the whole time. feel better!
