Re: Moms...

I def. think it's right.

A mom needs some downtime also.

She should live it up - relax, and enjoy!

Well it depends..... Chat Icon As long as you are not "embarrassed" the next day by your behavior or worry that some pics could be posting online then there are no issues.

Have a good time! You need your "me" time.

Re: Moms...

Nothing wrong with it at all...

In the past I have always taken vacations away from the either the kids or DH...

Im not ready to leave Caden yet though. But if the oppurtunity arose, and DH was going to be the one watching him..MAYBE

Re: Moms...

If she is comfortable with it and has someone she really trusts to be with the baby, I don't see why not.

I wouldn't be able to do it but would have no problem knowing that others do it once in a blue moon. If it were every other week, I'd think that was odd.

Re: Moms...

I think it depends what type of vacation it is--if it for a weekend of hard core partying (as she prob is going for to Miamii)...then maybe not.

But for a nice relaxing girls getaway then yes.

When DS was 13 months I went with Kristen and Shopaholic921 and my sister to Puerto Rico for 3 nights. It was hard to leave DS at first, but it was so nice to just get away and relax. I would def do it again!

Re: Moms...

I think even if she's married she should still go away.

Like Stef said, we're not dead.

But, that being said - I am so not ready to leave Jack yet - but I hope I will be able to someday!

I don't see a problem with it. I agree with other posters. Hard core partying. Probably not but girls weekend, yes. Why not?

Re: Moms...

I think its okay to do that, but i think for me it would depend on my childs age. Right now at 6m, i couldnt be away that long. i worked 12 hours yesterday longest i been with out my dd so far, and it was soo hard.

Re: Moms...

As long as she has someone to watch the baby I dont see an issue.
If she did this constantly I would probably think it more odd.

It depends...I love SoBe and did all of that good stuff before I was married...but I would go if it was a special occassion like a bachellorette party or a big b-day bash or something like that...i wouldn't do it for a "weekend with the girls"...i can do a night out with the girls here and be with my family the next day.

Re: Moms...

My DH still goes golfing and gambling with the boys. Personally, I could not leave my husband and/or baby, but that's my problem. My DH has no problem with it if I wanted to.

Just because you are a mom, your life shouldn't end there. As long as you aren't doing anything disrespectful, why not.
