Moms, can you recommend your bouncer and swing? - My DS hates his...
Hi!
My DS is almost 3 weeks old (OMG, I can't believe that) and he is not at all fond of his bouncer. He won't stay that more than 5 minutes and I really need him too since I like taking showers earlier in the day and would like to keep my house from looking like a disaster zone.
We have the Boppy Bouncer. Can you recommend your bouncer, I'm thinking of going to BRU tomorrow.
Also, can you recommend a swing? I didn't get one but think I'll try it because I really need to keep him safe and entertained so I can do things.

I have the FP Rainforest Bouncer...DS loved it...it was a total lifesaver.
I had a FP swing, but ended up selling it on Ebay b/c DS hated it. Most kids love swings though...mine was the exception.

We loved the FP papason swing! I don't have a bouncer, so can't recommend that, although my friend has the FP one with the waterfall and loved it

We had the FP papasan seat which he hated so we got the FP Infant Toddler Rocker which he loved. We also for the FP Travel Swing which he loved.

DD had a Fisher Price My Little Lamb cradle and swing. Best thing EVER. She slept in it, sat in it while we ate, played with the toys, loved it loved it.

I would not have survived the first few months without the FP Rainforest Bouncer and the FP Papasan Swing. DS looooooved being in those 2 places. He'd buzzzz and swing to sleep.
I remember I had liked the way the boppy bouncer and graco sweetpeace looked better but FP had the best reviews so I went with FP. I'm glad that I did.
We also got the FP travel swing. We keep that in the kitchen. DS enjoys being in there too.

we have the same one. DS loves it. Loves making the music go off when he hits the bird or monkey. B4 he could do that I played the music the whole time and he loved it

I have not put the batteries back into the bouncer so maybe that will make a difference. I would recommend both of those though. They were highly rated when I got them for DS two years ago.

We have the FP Precious Planet bouncer, and she LOVES it. I feel guilty sometimes about the amount of time DD spends in it, but hey, whatever works.
We have the Boppy swing, too, which got us through the first 5 weeks (it's what she slept in every night), but lately she's losing interest in it.

We have the same one... DD loves it and has from day 1!
As for a bouncer i'm actually looking to get one also, we have a rocker that she loves to hang out/sleep in but it doesn't have any toys on it.

DS did not like the bouncer in the beginning either. Took him about 2 months to like it. Even then, he'd just sit there, didn't get the whole bounce concept.
We had the FP swing, with the bees. He'd look for those darn bees anytime we put him down. Even in a swing without bees at my mom's he'd look for his bees. lol

We have this swing too and DS loves it! He is 4.5 months old and still loves it! We couldn't live without it.
WE have the FP newborn to toddler rocker which DS also loves. He still uses both everyday!

I actually used the Fisher Price Soothing Glider for the first 2 months. I got it as a gift at my shower, even though I didn't register for it. DS loved it! He napped in it during the day and I could strap him in while I took a shower or did things around the house.

We didn't use the bouncer much until he was at least a month old. My DS HATED the swing. He didn't even like playground swings until he was about 18 months.

DS didn't like the bouncer yet at 3 weeks, but liked it as he got a little bigger. I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss the one you have unless you're really desperate.

I had a FP swing - It's the one w/ the stars that light up - I honestly don't remember the name of it -
It was THE BEST thing ever !!
I bought a $35 FP bouncer b/c it was light and easily portable around the house - He loves that too

We had the Papasan bouncer and swing when they were newborns and they loved them both.
One of our papasan swings died when they were a few months old and we got an aquarium one off of craigslist, which they really liked as well, but I think the papasan is better for a really tiny baby!

I have the FP Rain Forest bouncer. It took quite a while for DS to like the bouncer. I have a Graco swing, but once the first set of batteries ran out, it hasn't worked as well. We'll probably get a different brand when we have more kids.

we have a fp laugh and learn bouncer as well ast the fp infant-toddler rocker... i prefer the bouncer but we needed the rocker when ds outweighed the bouncer at 3 months...
we also had the fp laugh and learn swing and loved it... a basic swing but it did the job.. however i do wish i hod a swing that plugged in since it would have saved on bateries

Ditto!! I also recommend getting a travel swing, maybe instead of a bouncer. Then you can move it around the house with you. If you get a bouncer, get one that is colorful and has a lot for him to look at. Fisher Price has the Rainforest one and the new Precious Planet one.
