Moms/Dads who did disney?
Im not doing quiet yet, but hopefully next summer. What hotel did you do? I took DH (his first time) before we got married to Allstar sports and it was great price but wasnt crazy about it.
My sis went last year and did a townhouse outside of disney and rented a car. It was only about $125 a night and had a private pool of their own. anyone else do this? How was it with a child?

Ive done off site and on site (Orange Lake Country CLub and Celebration off site and Polynesian on site). There are good things about both. Off can be MUCH cheaper, but you have to travel. Staying on site you dont get bombarded with all the other advertising, it's all Disney. On you get EMH (extra magic hours). For cost I think next time we will rent a condo but when the kids get older we may stay on site again just to have the extra time (little ones need sleep and dont like midnight EMH). Oh and onsite it is generally easier to go back to your room for a break, obviously closer, but dont use the buses, they take FOREVER!

Re: Moms/Dads who did disney?
I can let you know in the fall how it goes - we are going at the end of Sept - we were going to stay at a moderate but we are going with my parents and decided for convenience that we would stay at the Poly. We can roll the stroller directly onto the monorail which is so easy. Budget wise you are better to stay off site and rent a car - but it is much easier to stay on site if you can swing it - especially for the convenience of going back to your hotel room during the day for naps and breaks.
