LOVE the idea of JUST cake!!! I would make it a little bit longer though. Maybe an hour and forty five minutes. It gives people time to come in and put there coats away, presents on the table, talk a little bit, then play.
Date night sounds good too. I would totally use it. Just make sure you have staff that has credentials in CPR and first aid, and if what I said was obvious then I didnt know LOL so make it known on the flyer or news letter that your staff is certified.
My dd loves Dress up and princess themes.

Loved the idea about parents date night....i got a lot of gifts yesterday from an online portal known as ababy.com...check if it helps :)
