Mom's of 1 - 2 months olds
How often does your DC go b/w feedings during the day?
Sometimes DD goes 3 hours b/w daytime feedings and sometimes up to 4.5 hours. I don't wake her up at night, but I wonder if I should wake her up during the day to feed her....I heard this could help her sleep more at night?

Re: Mom's of 1 - 2 months olds
I think it depends on whether you are breastfeeding or using formula. Im breastfeeding and during the day DD eats anywhere from every 2-4 1/2 hours. I tried the whole keeping her awake thing and it did nothing. Plus if she was really tired, there was no keeping her awake. But really, it didnt make any difference at all in how she slept at night. I think it can make them overtired, so I just decided to go by her schedule and hope it worked itself out. Right now Im getting a consistant(knock on wood) 4 hours at some point between 12:30 and 6 am.
ETA: For the first month the dr. had me waking her up every 3 hours, day and night to feed her because I was breastfeeding...in order to get my supply up. But I dont do that anymore...the dr. said "never wake a sleeping baby" after one month.
