Trying to decide what to get DS, and what to tell others he should get......

We live in an apt so we told our family members if they were going to get her toys to get smaller ones. She already has the laugh and learn kitchen which she LOVES. I'm also asking them if they are going to get her clothes to get her 18m warmer clothes b/c we have a ton of 12m stuff. Her bday is in January so she isn't going to get presents the rest of the year so we're trying to plan ahead.

DD is 18 mos, but I'm getting puzzles, slippers, musical instruments and a Sit and Spin--so excited for that one!!! Etc. etc...

DH and I are getting her a pair of earrings, probably 1 toy, and joenick decorated a toybox that used to be mine that I am going to put under the tree. She still doesn't know what's going on, so I am not going nuts.

My parents got her a baby doll and a carriage that she can push around and money in her 529. No one else has asked, but I am sure they will tomorrow. She could use books and learning type toys.

It's hard since his older brother has most everything. Hard to come up with new ideas - plus he doesn't like much that is age appropriate.

Does your DS have any Thomas the trains? My little one loves that already!! He is 16 mos but been playing choo choo's for awhile. My son loves anything cars/trains, music/instruments, puzzles, coloring/drawing, loves Diego and anything playhouse disney. Do you have the leapfrog fridge magnets - he loves them too. He loves the chalk board/easel too. I just have to watch he doesn't eat the chalk! Also loves doodle pads.

he just had his 1st b'day so he got tons of things - lots of toys.
We are getting him a toy box, the Smart bounce pony thing that hooks up to the TV, and maybe some other smaller things.

3. little tykes xylephone free
4. drum $20.00 from music together
5. 30 plastic dinosaurs in a sleve with a playmat $7 from homegoods
6. Melissa and doug toolkit $7 from homegoods
7. little people hanukkah playset $18 from target
8. leapfrog fridge magnet farm animal set $6.24 from target

total for all eight nights $144.24

I think my parents are getting DS a motorized ride on toy
I think one of my brothers is getting DS a basketball hoop and basketball
I think my inlaws are getting DS one of those wiretoys with beads on it. I am not sure what my other brother or my BIL is getting DS.
