Moms of 12, 13, 14 mo olds...please post your eating/drinking schedules for DC. Also looking for advice on formula bottle to milk sippy transition...
We are in the process of switching to milk/sippy cups and I'm trying to figure out how to get us on a better scedule to facilitate this so we are not "eating" all day long!
Right now - we had been doing (approx times and amounts-times are after finishing).:
Wake up -bottle (6oz) 1.5 hrs later - breakfast (yogurt/cereal,fruit) 1.5 hrs later - bottle (5oz) NAP Lunch - fruit/protein/carb/veggie 1.5 hrs later - bottle (5oz) 1.5 hrs later - Dinner protein/veggie 1.5 hrs later - bottle (6.5oz sometimes more) BED
So I feel like we are eating ALL day and this schedule is too much formula as we are switching over to milk. And, I think it allows him to favor bottle over solids. Need input! Please help!
I've been trying to introduce the milk/sippy slowly but its not going so great. he has been drinking water/juice from a sippy forever but just in small amts. He is fine with the milk but I just think he gets bored of the sippy. I just tried to substitute the b/f nap bottle with milk in a sippy and he only drank 2oz.

My son is 14 months.
He gets three meals a day. Breakfast, Lunch, and dinner
He gets two bottles of milk a day. One first thing in the morning. One before bed. (16 ounces in total)
He gets one sippy cup of milk a day (another 8 ounces)
My son would not take to the milk in a sippy cup for a long time. One day it just did. I believe it was about 3 weeks ago now!

What is the timing of the meals vs. sippy. Also, is he getting 24 oz of milk a day then? This is what my DS is drinkingin formula but ped said only 16 oz of milk?
Do you think this is the better way to do it? Transition to milk via bottle and then add in the sippy? He doesn't seem to dislike the milk or the sippy - he is just LAZY and the bottle is easier.
Thanks for the advice...sorry for all the q's!

Ok - let's see. He gets his first bottle the second he wakes up - in bed with me. Could be anywhere between 5:30am-6:30am.
8am - breakfast
12:30pm - Lunch
Afternoon sippy - takes him awhile to drink. He has it from about 1:30-3:30. Just takes sips here and there.
4:30 - Dinner
6:30 Nighttime bottle.
I personally transitioned the milk in the bottle first - and then once he was all good with the milk - I took a bottle away (the afternoon one) and subsittuted a sippy cup. Jack also only drinks from straw sippys (I've read on here that it's better for speech purposes)
I never asked my ped how much milk he should be drinking....I do believe I remember reading that the minimum should be 16 ounces. Someone could correct me if I'm wrong bc I could be!

Thanks so much! I think I am going to go get a straw sippy then - do you recc one that is good to start with?
That is interesting with the milk b/c my ped said 16 was max - but, it would be helpful to switching over if this isn't the all around accepted...
Ok, thanks again!

DD is 13 months
Breakfast 8am - Oatmeal w/fruit and a YoBaby She has a sippy cup with milk and drinks 6-8 ounces.
Lunch 11:30-12:00 Protein, Carb, Veggie, sometimes fruit for dessert. Again she has sippy cup with milk and drinks about 6 ounces.
Snack around 3:30-4:00, cheese, fruit, with sippy cup of milk, she usually drinks about 2-4 ounces.
Dinner about 6pm Protein, Carb, 2 veggies, fruit for dessert. Has sippy cup with milk drinks about 4-6 ounces.
Bedtime, I nurse her, I'll be dropping that soon, not sure how the bedtime routing will go.
I give her a sippy cup with water in between meals. She takes sips when she's thristy.
Ped told us no more than 24 ounces of milk a day.

DD is 13 months
7:30 - 4oz milk in sippy cup
9am - school - breakfast with juice/water sippy
11:30 - lunch w/4 oz milk
3pm - snack w/4 oz milk
5pm - cheerios with juice/water sippy until I get her at daycare
6:30pm - dinner with juice/water sippy
9:30pm - 8 oz bottle at bedtime
I still give DD her bedtime bottle - she keeps popping out a new tooth everytime I want to transition away from the nighttime bottle. Once this last tooth breaks through, we will try to get away from the bottle for good.
Also, unless at daycare - DD drinks most of her juice from a cup with a straw. I try to only give her milk in a regular sippy cup

13 months...still on some bottles and formula due to lactose issues...hope to transition soon but he keeps getting sick and making me having to hold it off. Still eats baby food and picky about table food but getting better.
830ish - jar of fruit, some kind of waffle/cheerios/something else, 4-6 oz bottle or sippy cup depending on his and my mood (sometimes if he gets up early has the bottle 7ish and then gets sippy with water with his food)
1230 some kind of table food whatever he'll eat, sippy with water (whatever he drinks), 1 jar meat mixture baby food
330 8oz bottle
7ish 8oz sippy of milk/formula, table food, jar of veggie
900 9 oz bottle
Between lunch and dinner, he has snacks - yogurts, crackers, goldfish, rice cakes, etc. He snacks all day long. I also offer him sippy of water throughout the day.
