Moms of 2 or more different aged DC
Do you take your DC to "classes" like My Gym, Gymboree, Music Together, etc.
Right now DD is going to MY GYM and the baby will usually sit for the hour in his infant seat while we play, but now that he's getting bigger and will be on the move soon can I still do this? Most of the classes are for specific ages and he can't just crawl around while I'm running around with all the 2 - 3 year olds.
Music Together is all ages, but it costs $210 for her an $175 for him. That's way too much money.
She really enjoys these classes but I think they may be coming to an end because I have noone to watch Jack or her if I enroll them in an age specific class.
Any suggestions? or just accept that the fun is over...for now.

DD was in gymnastics at 80 a month. now that DS is old enough to do something it was too expensive for him to do it as well.
We enrolled DD in a dance class at 42 a month and we are currently trying to find something for him to do.

What about joining the local Y? I plan on continuing DD classes(swimming, dance etc) and having DC #2 do mommy and me classes.
We pay about 72 a month for the whole family to go. Forgot to add that DC#2 can go to the day care there while I take DD to her classes and vice versa.

Great ideas - but what do you do with your other child while the other one is participating? I don't have anyone I can bring or leave them with. So I have to have them both with me.
So if I'm doing a baby class with him, what does DD do? and If I'm doing dance or gymnastics with her what does DS do?

I'm having the same problem. To continue the Playgym class for DD, I have to pay for DS too. I wouldn't mind so much except that it isn't even close to being geared towards his age group. I'm not paying $300 for him to crawl on a mat.

I had Andrew in My Gym too - up until Lauren came along, and then we stopped since I couldn't bring both, like you mentioned. It wasn't until Andrew was in preschool that I found a time slot at My Gym to enroll Lauren, so now we go while he is in school. Andrew also takes Karate, and I bring Lauren and we just sit in the waiting area since it's not parent participation.
It is hard, I feel like Lauren missed out on the early stuff, but you know what, she had no idea and is no worse for the wear.

Re: Moms of 2 or more different aged DC
Nate used to got to Little Gym, but we couldnt afford to put both of them. We used to go on Sat mornings. DH and I would take turns each week going in with Nate. It was our family time and the we'd go out to breakfast.
We're looking for something to do with them in the spring. DH and I will just need to take turns if we can't take both kids at the same time.
