moms of 3 month olds who Bfeed or BTDT moms?
How often does your BFed baby eat? Maddie goes about every 3 hours. I'm just not getting it though...with formula, you increase the amount, but is my production increasing for growing baby? I haven't pumped in a month, so I have no idea.

Your body is doing what it has to do. Don't worry about that! Every 3 hours is normal for 3 months. You may notice, also, that your DD will eat more efficiently and thus spend less time ON the boob (even though the interval stays the same).
ETA: At 3 mos, DD was eating every 3-4 hours (to answer your question )

Not quiet sure what your asking, but if your worried about your production and if baby is growing. Is your DC crying after a feeding as if wanting more? and is your dc gaining weight at chk ups? Thats what i went by.

As long as you aren't dragging her off your boob, she's getting the right amount.
I think they just learn to suck better...

Every three hours is very good! DD is uneven she would and still does - eat sometimes every 2 hours other times every 3 - and has gone 4 or even 5 hours during the day.
As long as your child is happy and growing and not hungry I wouldn't worry about it. My ped said you will know if they aren't getting enough.
BF is very different than formula feeding so you really can't compare what a FF baby eats.

agreed. Its a different scale all together. No fillers, just the perfect amount of nutrition.

Re: moms of 3 month olds who Bfeed or BTDT moms?
My three month old also eats every 3-3.5 hours... approximately 5-6 times a day, depending on what time she gets up.. she is sleeping 9-10 hours at night now... I asked the ped at yesterdays visit the same question... he said that as long as the baby is gaining weight at each visit, then they are getting enough... it is so difficult when you can't quantify it.... when we do give DD a bottle once a day, she will take anywhere from 4-5 ounces.. many moms on here who formula feed have children who take 6-7 at 3 months and that was my concern... but DD is thriving and that is all that matters in peds eyes :) ETA..our children really are so similar!

They really are except my baby girl isn't sleeping 9-10 hours. She's sleeping 6-7. I'm jealous! What do you think it is that is getting your dd to sleep that long?
